Today was competition day for the Music Video team, Commercial team, and Anchoring team. I am in the Music Video team with Kelli Okayama, Nicole Matsushige, and Javlynn Mexia. It was really stressful because we would go all around and not find a good place to film. I think that yesterday I should've walked around a little so that I could know the better places to go. That messed us up a little bit but we still got it done. We also got the wrong instructions/rules in the briefing. They said that if we aren't done filming b-roll, we can go into the editing room and go back out to get more b-roll or we can have other team mates that aren't editing bring us more b-roll. The STN Convention Staff needs to be clear on what's going on. It's okay though because we finished! We turned it in right before the buzzer rang. We had the wrong format of the video but Mr.M said as long as they are able to watch it they'll judge it. I hope all goes well for us and the other teams competing today and tomorrow.

Have you ever had a stressful day? Well I did because today was The Sweet Sixteen. We had 16 hours to make a 10 minute Broadcast video and our topic was "International Drive". The International Drive is a 11.5 mile long road with many attractions and businesses. It all started with a man named Finley Hamilton when he bought 10 acres of land and made a hotel. Soon it evolved to be a successful tourist attraction. Our group did the History of the International Drive. Either no one wanted to be interviewed or they had already been scheduled to interview with someone else in the STN Convention. It was a struggle but we got it finished. Sadly it isn't that great but it'll do for now! Our final editors are in the process of putting it all together. I hope all goes well. Good luck to everyone participating in the 2014 Sweet Sixteen.

We left our houses today and headed out for our hotel. Our rooms weren't ready yet so we went and ate lunch and Sonic and then went to a mall. I got lots of stuff! There was a Nike Store and Forever 21 and much more. But we had to head out and get our hotel rooms. I share a room with Leanna, Halle, and Justice. Then we had dinner at Olive Garden but our food came really late so we were late to meet up with out Florida Penpals. But when we got to Wonder Works we walked in and there were lots of Hands on Activities that were pretty cool. We looked through all of them and then went to Laser Tag. It was super fun! I also got to meet my Penpal. It was a great last day before the Convention. Time to get ready for Sweet Sixteen Tomorrow.

We changed it up and went to Universal Studios The Lost Islands. We met up with out tour guides and they showed us around the islands. The first stop was Marvel Island where all kinds of Marvel super heroes and villains stayed. Everything was like a comic book, it had to look that way so it had a good theme and you'd actually believe you are in the comic books. We also went to Jurassic Park where we made friends with the Herbivores but the Carnivores didn't seem to like us. Next we went to Harry Potter Island! I liked this island the most. At that place we left from our tour guides Seth and Andrialis and rode some roller coasters. Today we rode The Amazing Spiderman, The Incredible Hulk, Jurassic Park's boat ride, the Harry Potter ride, and a dragon ride. They were all really cool rides but my personal favorite was the dragon roller coaster. But, in the Spiderman ride we got to go on the ride both with the lights on which means no effects and with the lights off and with the effects. It was really cool because with the effects it makes you feel like you're actually floating in the air. At the end of the day I got a cool temporary tattoo called a Henna Tattoo. Universal was really fun and had lots of great roller coasters. I can't wait to go tomorrow!

We had another day in Disney World! We went to the Disney Hollywood Studios Park. We had another tour there were we learned mostly about the science of roller coasters. Kinetic energy is when something is in the motion like when the roller coaster is in motion. Potential energy is when an object is still but has the potential to move because of a force. We got to ride The Tower of Terror and the Rock n' Roller Coaster. We learned about how gravity does some of the work too to help the roller coasters work. That tour was fun and we even got to use iPads to do our lessons. When the tour was finished we went on our own and rode Star Tours, Tower of Terror, and Midway Mania the Toy Story ride/game. That was almost the best part of the day. We left the park and went to the Epcot Center where we met up with John Allen and we helped him propose to his girlfriend. We acted like we were taking a group picture and slowly we parted in half so that his girlfriend could walk through. John's students then raised a banner that said "will you marry me?" in a Disney font. He kneeled down and asked her if she would marry him and she said yes! That was the best part of the day. It was so cute. It was one of the rarest things that you can be apart of and it was great. It was a great today!

Today we spent out whole day at parks in Disney World. We had a 3 hour educational tour in the beginning of the day at the Epcot Center. It was actually pretty fun. We got to go on lots of attractions including Test Tracks where you model your own car. We learned about how we have to look at how your product can effect society, the Government, economics, and technology. We even learned about roman numerals and most of the times it doesn't even feel like we were being educational. It was a good tour! After the tour we headed out to go and ride the rides we didn't ride earlier. I think we all had a great time doing that. We even went on a ride that left me drenched in water from head to toe. I didn't dry very much so I had a very uncomfortable time after that. Besides being uncomfortable I had a good time. My favorite ride which was in Animal Kingdom was a Yetti ride. I rode it twice. We went to different areas and different rides so we were all tired. We headed out to Wendy's and ate some delicious burgers and fries and headed back to the houses. We had an awesome day and I can't wait to do a similar thing tomorrow.

Today was the third day of being in Florida. We had a long day today. We went to the WKMG News Station and got a tour, we went to Full Sail University and got a tour of mostly all of their buildings, and then finally went the basketball game at the Amway Center and supported the Magic team. At the news place we got to see their new van that they take out to go find the breaking news and we also took a tour of the rest of the building. They had a huge archive of every single episode that they taped all in these shelves. We even got to watch them broadcast live. After being at the news station for a bit we headed outside, had some lunch, and then headed right to Full Sail University. This is no ordinary College, this is a College for entertainment and media students. You can graduate and get a bachelors degree in just two years instead of four. That's why it is called Full Sail University, because you go full speed ahead. It's was great to be there. When we were done we headed over to the Amway Center and got to watch Magic and the Washington team warm up. It was an exciting game because they even went to over time. Sadly Magic lost 101-105. We all had a great time. I hope it stays this way.

Today was our first day in Orlando, Florida! We were on the plane a lot last night and this morning. When we landed here everyone was really tired but as the day went on we all perked up and we had a great day driving around. I rode with the Marcos' to our house. We took some wrong turns but finally got there and ran in the house to find games. The kids in my house were going crazy with the pool table and air hockey. After playing around we headed over to dinner at Golden Corral and had a buffet. It was delicious, there was even cotton candy and chocolate fountains. Today was a good first day and I can't wait for the rest of the week.

Today was our 1st full day in Florida. We had to wake up at 9:30 am today and then got ready and ate breakfast. We were supposed to go to the mall today but instead, we stayed at our homes and either did homework or played around in the game room where there is a pool table and a hockey table. When our free time was over we headed over it the Amway  Center to take a tour. We got to see the court and even the place we will be sitting when we go to the basketball game tomorrow night. The screen they had was amazing! It was like having a huge HD TV in the middle of the court above everyone's heads. It was a pretty chill day but tomorrow we are planning to have a really long day. I'm enjoying it here and I hope we will all continue to enjoy it up here!

In 2 days we will be leaving for the 2014 Student Television Convention in Orlando, Florida. We'll be doing a lot of things whether it's educational or fun. Everyone has things they're looking forward to and I have 3 main things I'm looking forward to. I'm looking forward to bonding with the media class, going to the theme parks, and meeting people at my last STN Convention with the CKTV Media class.

Most of the kids in the media class are going to the STN Convention and we're all going to be together for 2 weeks. I'm excited because we'll all probably get really close like how it's happened in past years. We're going to do a lot of things together and we're going to find things out about each other and it might start some friendships.

I'm not going to lie, everyone is probably excited about the theme parks. We're going to ride rollercoasters and eat lots of good food. Who wouldn't be excited about that? It'll be a great stress reliever and we can all just relax and drink some sprite. Theme parks will be great!

Last but not least, meeting new people at the convention should be fun too. It's my last year going to the STN Convention with the CKTV Ohana. I want to make this year the best year. I might meet people who are just like me (crazy) and make friends that may end up making movies in the future. You never know what can happen, so I'm going to meet new people and form bonds with people that just may be my bosses later.

This last STN Convention is going to be blast. There are so many things to look forward to. I hope everyone will say safe and have fun on this trip. Orlando, Florida is filled with many adventures. Only 2 more days!
